Accreditation isn’t just a ‘nice-to-have’ – it’s the foundation of trust.
As a certification body, we at GUTcert see every day just how important credibility is when assessing management systems. This is precisely where the state-recognised German Accreditation Body (DAkkS) comes in.
What does accreditation actually mean?
DAkkS confirms that certification bodies operate in accordance with international standards such as ISO/IEC 17021 or DIN ISO 50003:
- professionally competent
- independent
- reliable
In short, accreditation is the audit of the auditors.
Why accreditation is essential for GUTcert
Trust
Our certificates must be reliable for customers, authorities and markets. Accreditation ensures that this is indeed the case.Objectivity & Independence
Accredited certification bodies are regularly monitored. This helps prevent conflicts of interest and strengthens the integrity of every audit.International recognition
Accredited certificates are recognised worldwide – a key advantage for export-oriented companies and organisations.Legal security
In many regulated sectors, accreditation is a prerequisite for being allowed to certify at all.Quality
Accreditation means: clear processes, qualified auditors and verifiable results. This ensures comparability and reliability. Why should companies opt for an accredited audit?
A certificate is only as good as the institution that issues it.
Accreditation makes the difference between a simple ‘piece of paper’ and a reliable proof of quality. Accreditation is generally the legal prerequisite for so-called notification or authorisation to carry out certain tasks on behalf of the state or within regulated sectors.
Caution is advised with non-accredited certificates, as in such cases the certificate is based solely on the assessment of the provider in question. Consequently, the certificate generally lacks recognition in the market and is not accepted as evidence for funding applications, tax benefits or regulatory requirements.
Our mission at GUTcert
We don’t just certify; we deliver robust, verified and internationally recognised results. For us, accreditation is not a mere formality, but the foundation for credible certificates that offer added value. We view certification as a collaborative process, with the aim of improving together and achieving lasting improvements.
Accreditation is a basic requirement for the work of every certification body. Here you will find an overview of all approvals on the basis of which we perform testing services.
