DIN EN 17463 (VALERI) helps you evaluate energy-related investments for ecological benefits. You can identify binding measures at an early stage and set the right course.
Our three-stage, pragmatic approach guides your company through 18 clear steps to EnMS certification in accordance with ISO 50001:2018. This enables you to achieve your goal of using energy more efficiently in the long term, reducing your environmental impact and benefiting economically through lower costs.
Funding opportunities and subsidies for greater energy efficiency
The ‘package’ summarises the variety of support programmes available to companies, making it even easier to reduce CO2 emissions and costs with new technology.
Funding options here include grants and loans or the BMWK competition, with the latter offering a higher funding rate.
Funding is available for investment measures in new, highly efficient technologies and measures to expand the share of renewable energies for the provision of process heat, which would only pay for themselves after a period of at least four years (energy cost-related amortisation period) without funding. Interested companies can choose between a grant (BAFA) and a repayment subsidy (KfW) or participate in the BMWK's tendering process and apply for funding.
Transformation concepts are also funded under the EEW.
The subsidy programme is an important tool for identifying potential savings in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through qualified and independent advice from certified energy consultants. It can be ideally combined with an energy audit in accordance with DIN EN 16247-1 (pure consulting service within the framework of the EDL-G).
The SME Initiative for Energy Transition and Climate Protection is a project of the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DIHK), the German Confederation of Skilled Crafts (ZDH), the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, and the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety.
It supports German SMEs with the aim of exploiting energy-saving potential in businesses and increasing energy efficiency.
In December 2014, the German government formed an action alliance with business associations and organisations to introduce energy efficiency networks across the country. The aim was to initiate 500 new networks by 2020, thereby making an important contribution to increasing energy efficiency in industry, trade, commerce and commerce.
Since January 2021, the successful alliance has been continued as the Energy Efficiency and Climate Protection Networks Initiative – with new aspects: the scope of the networks has been expanded to include climate protection, energy transition and sustainability. The goal for the new term is to establish 300 to 350 new networks by the end of 2025, saving nine to eleven terawatt hours of final energy or five to six million tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions.
GUTcert regularly gives presentations at network meetings on technical and energy-specific topics. Please contact us for more information.
